Hair today, gone tomorrow
Rita is picking Bray up from Gretchen's today due to my traveling and Jeremy's late night in the office. Jeremy has also asked to have Rita cute Bray's cute, but messy hair. So, I had to say goodbye to him and his hair when I dropped him off this morning, :(

Spring has Sprung!!
Although later in the week the weather is a little shaky, I think it's almost official. We have a few flowers blooming and lots of new growth, with the past weekend there should be lots more too! Braylen spend all Sunday with a short sleeve shirt and no socks and was loving it! I think Braylen and I spent a total of from 8am until about 6pm, with the exception of a few hours in there for nap, outside playing and loving it. Braylen played with the hose and was filling up his cup to pour into his dump truck, we threw Riley's ball, played on his swing, ran around the deck and the yard, while I hung laundry out to dry on the deck (WOOHOO) and read, ahh the good life. Jeremy did lots outside keeping him busy all afternoon too. I can't wait for more of these weekend, especially TAX free weekends, 7 days and counting...
Um, this is under our deck, it's a pansy that seeded itself. I love it when this happens
Walkin around with Aunt Jess
He hated the grass on his feet at first, hence the crying and lifting his feet. Got over this real quick.
The outfit by the end of the day, wet pants were removed and wind blown hair is a true testament of our fun!
Weeee, I think this is what he calls his swing
Finally some daffodils!!

Girls Day and Night!!
Mandi and Jess came up Friday night and we hung out with Jess's college friends here in Dubuque Saturday! It was such a great time. We walked around downtown Dubuque hoping for warm, sunny weather, unfortunately it was overcast and cool, got some coffee, went into a few cute shops and just had a fun time together. Braylen came along too and was in the stroller part of the time and walking the other. Around 12 we headed to our house for homemade personal grilled pizza, yum! We made some margaritas and sangria and by around 1, it was GORGEOUS out!! The deck was sunny and warm and perfect for sitting around laughing and talking. Jeremy and I helped Jimmy celebrate his birthday that night and went on a mini bar crawl with them and we dragged the girls along. They really got to see some "nice" downtown bars...or maybe not. We had some drinks, danced and really had so much fun. I'm so glad everyone came out and Jess got to hang out with a few of her good friends, and us!!! We love you!!

18 Months
Here are a few things Braylen is doing at 18 months.
Talking like crazy, his favorite words are, puppy, num num, baball, mommy, daddy, nana, papa, cacker, gee ha (thank you and please), boon (balloon), ball, kitty, bee, book, cheese, banana, mami (Mandi), ecka (Jessica), getchy (Gretchen), ecki (Lexi), no, yeah, good girl, Rirey, Molly, Elllllla, night night, more, mulmul (milk), wawa (water), three go (1,2,3 go), pretty, baby, bubble, bath time, tee (tree) and luv luv (love you)...that's about all I can think of now
Running, I don't think Braylen walks anywhere
He knows where his head, hair, fingers, toes, feet, tummy, eyes, ears, mouth, teeth, tongue, nose are.
He's got animal sounds down, elephant, lion, monkey, dinosaur, cat, dog, rooster, cow, sheep, duck, chick, bird, pig, fish are some he's mastered.
Braylen can spin, smile, hum, dance, wink, show his strength, sing his ABCs and skinymarinkydinkydoo(kinda), get in somersault stance, throw the ball, throw trash in the garbage, "water" my plants, help me clean up spilled messed and roll over on command, when he's in the mood.
When reading, still a favorite activity, he can point out or find things in a book like hats, animals, sesame street characters, body parts, certain toys, balls, balloons, flowers, baby, food, trees and can also find Nana and Papa and Jessica and Mandi in pictures. We're working on everyone else!!
He helps me yell for the dogs when they're not listening to come inside, helps me feed the puppies, also assists me in putting them in their cage.
He likes to hold my hand when I go somewhere, unless he insists on me holding him.
He still does point and grunt, A LOT, making it still difficult to understand exactly what he wants.
His favorite past time is playing outside (lately), playing with bowls and spoons, eating, watching basketball with daddy and reading and cuddling with mommy.
He has really got the throwing things, unfortunately it's not limited to balls, he throws his cup, spoon, fork and sometimes plate when he's done. Will throw a book, toy, what ever's in his hand, if I'm not doing what he wants. And is really great at throwing tantrums, nothing extreme, but they occur often at our house.
He is still the cutest little guy (sorry, I'm totally biased) with big blue eyes and sandy blond, and rather long hair at the moment. He seems to have the Fluhr boy build, AKA baseball player build.
Loves his mommy and daddy, but favors his mommy 90% of the time(sorry daddy), unless Nana's around. He's shy around strangers, especially in a strange setting, but will smile and wave to people while we shop, as long as they don't come up to us.
Can be a bit of a bully at daycare, but is also bullied around a bit too.
Is a great hugger and kisser and still loves to be hugged and cuddled, not sure I ever want that to end!
We have loved every second of every day with Bugmonster so far (even the hard ones) and can't wait to see what changes occur by his second birthday! XOXOXO Braylen!

Weekend with ups and downs...
We had a great Friday and Saturday. Friday Bug and I hung out and played, it was nice to get one on one time without feeling rushed to get him in bed by 8!! He's such a smart little cookie, he's learned a few new animal noises and surprised me with them! Saturday we got up and had Jen and Gavin and Joleen and Madison over for breakfast. It was lots of fun playing with everyone. After our company left we took a walk outside and played in the yard, it was a breezy but sunny day!! Our neighbor came over to watch Braylen that evening and Jeremy and I had a date night out. Sunday, was our down day! 2 of us were a little hungover and 1 was having tummy problems, I let you figure out who was who!! It was a low key morning of laying around, watching cartoons, fussing (from all of us) and taking little naps. After about 2:00 we all almost 100% and much to our surprise it was a GORGEOUS day out!! We did the jammie day until Braylen got a little wet playing in the water on the deck, so I changed him into real clothes at about 3:00. He went for a tractor ride with Daddy and cried because he was bare feet in the grass, totally not loving that! It was a great end to a not so great day.
