GO BIG BLUE

Saturday we went to the UD mens basketball game and brought our own little cheerleader!  Before we left he had to shut all of the doors in our bedroom, one of his favorite things!  Once at the game Bray made friends with the grandma and grandpa behind us and was putting on a show dancing for his fans!  What a cheese!  The men won and Braylen was quite entertained all night!

Gotta shut this door

and this one too!

Mr Independence

As we have passed the 1 year milestone, we are now moving into uncharted territory for Jeremy and I.  Athough we've never done the baby thing before, that was a little easier to handle, no disciplining for the most part and Braylen allowed us to do everything for him.  Now the times are a changin!  Not only does he not want me to feed him, he wants to do it himself, but he likes to try to push us to see what kind of reaction he'll get from Jeremy and I.  He loves to torment the dogs, poor, good girls and has just started hitting lately, ugh!  I thought we had this perfect, sweet and good little boy, he's definitely a boy, but the other characteristics are debatable!  Actually, Braylen still is a very good boy, but is starting to learn how to push our buttons, smart little cookie!

BOOOOO

We had a rough day at our house yesterday!  Although the kids didn't seem to mind there was a football game going on, the guys had a pretty disappointing loss to the Packers of all teams.  Jeremy and Jimmy didn't say too much all during the game and not much after either!  We did have fun hanging out at the house, even with the loss!

We did allow a couple of Packer fans over to the house!

Red Neck Christmas Party

We had our last festive holiday party Saturday night and the theme was red neck.  Jeremy and I, never wanting to miss a dress up party, got a sitter and planned a night out at my co workers house, Bob.  It was such a good time both being dressed up and hanging out!  Great food, lots of cold drinks and fun times!

Weekend Adventure

I had to work on Saturday, :(, but fortunately it was a short day and a little more exciting than the normal work weekend.  My coworker and I flew to Chicago for a morning presentation and then flew back to Dubuque.  We took one of UD's planes and it was a great and smooth flight!

My own personal aircraft (for a few hours anyway!)

Braylen's "reorganizing"

I think Braylen's getting bored of  the same scenery.  I have found 2 incidents of him reorganizing a few things he thinks may be more appropriate in the past 2 days.  We, unfortunately, do not see eye to eye on this, so things were put back into their "correct" spot.

isn't that right?

Impromptu visitors

We had a nice surprise when mom decided to visit this weekend.  After we found out she was coming, Jess and Clint also made the trek to Dubuque to visit.  Considering we had a quiet weekend planned, this was a fun surprise.  Braylen and I were able to visit a friend before mom got here and her "new" baby, he's about 3 1/2 months old and we're a little late!  We spent some time hanging out and saw the new house, very nice!  Then by the time we got home, mom/Nana was there!  We were planning to go to the UD vs Loras basketball game after lunch but Braylen's nap messed with those plans.  So we hung out and went out to dinner at Hoolihans and had a good and noisy meal, thank you Braylen!!  Hung out at home playing games and Wii and then crashed out.  Sunday was the BIG Bears game and Jeremy invited a few people over for drinks, food and cheering!  The Bears won and everyone celebrated, everyone at our house anyway!!  Snow did come Sunday night and early Monday morning, just in time for their departure.  But, everyone made it home safe and sound and in pretty good time too.
I must be getting lazy or our lives are getting busier and duller by the day because my blogging and pictures are getting fewer.
